Hobert Sargent

Hobert Lee Sargent, long time resident of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in Eaton, Ohio at the age of 86 years.

He was born on November 10, 1921 in Morgan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Bert and Victoria (Fannin) Sargent.

Mr. Sargent was a farmer and he had worked in the lumber mill industry in Dayton, Ohio for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Irene (McBrayer) Sargent, four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his children, Jewell (Louie) Cole of Waterford, Michigan, Charles (Vada) Sargent of Miamisburg, Ohio, Donnie (LouAnn) Sargent of Brookville, Ohio and Vicki Sargent of Franklin, Ohio, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Naomi Christian of Danville, Kentucky and Olive White of Miamisburg, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the Elliottville Baptist Church in Elliottville, Kentucky with Pastor Tim Rhodes presiding. Burial will follow in the McBrayer Family Cemetery. Visitation is from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 7th at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home in Morehead, Kentucky. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
