Hermal Adkins
February 28, 1944 — March 9, 2010
Ms. Hermal V. Adkins, 66, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in the Life Care Center.
She was born on February 28, 1944 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charles G. and Ethel Smith Adkins.
Hermal attended the Morehead First Freewill Baptist Church with her mother and father, when they were living. She enjoyed playing Bingo, attending church services and taking trips with the other residents of the Life Care Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernal Adkins and Miguel Adkins and four sisters, Joy Adkins, Vivian Adkins, Dorothy Ball and Phoebe Lewis.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard L. Adkins and Elvin R. Adkins both of Morehead and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 11, 2010 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
