Glennis Parker

Mr. Glennis Parker, 80, of Morehead, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

He was born on August 15, 1938 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Lovell and Conie Cornett Parker.

Mr. Parker was a retired pipe fitter having worked for Union 798 for 55 years.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a United States Army Veteran.

Glennis was a worker who could do all kinds of jobs.  He built their home and made all types of furniture and he also loved working on small engines for lawn mowers and weed eaters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Parker and Kenneth Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Ison Parker, two sons, Joel Parker of Houston, Texas and Brian Bowman of Ashland, one daughter, Sally (Mike) Issac of Lexington, two brothers, Larry (Marcella) Parker of Morehead and Richard (Bernice) Parker of Charleston, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Laura, Avery, Hollye, Destiny, Haley, Alec and Autumn Briann and special family members, Elijah, Tonya and Twyla Cassity.

At his request, there will be no services or visitation.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is caring for all arrangements.
