Glenn David Winkle, 70 of Elliottville, passed away Saturday at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead after an illness of several weeks.

He was born in Fairborn, Ohio to the late Edwin Winkle and Nina Barker Winkle Whitt.

David was a retired logger and a member of the Litton Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed horse trading, yard sales and auctions.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Shelley Dee Ginter Winkle, two brothers, Kenny Winkle and Mike Winkle. Two sisters, Debbie Kunkle and Angela Wenner.

Survivors include his son, Michael David Winkle of Morehead, two brothers, Wendell Winkle and his wife Lynn of Elliott County and Terry Winkle and his wife Diane of Rowan County. Four sisters, Rhonda Haines of Carlisle, Ohio, Sheila Craft of Morehead, Edwina Winkle of Richmond, Indiana and Joy Adams of Morehead. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Litton Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Elliott County with Pastor Daniel Carter officiating.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is caring for all arrangements for Glenn David Winkle.
