Geraldine Jones Crockett, 75, of Brown Ridge Road passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the residence of her daughter, Jeanetta Johnson.
She was born on August 23, 1933 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Robert and Nettie Riddle Jones.
Mrs. Crockett was retired from Cowden's Manufacturing and a member of the Concord Enterprise Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and vegetable and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Berniece Jones who passed away in 1980 and Wanda Kiser who passed away in 1993.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Bert Crockett, whom she married on December 17, 1955, of Morehead, three daughters, Glenna Crockett, Jeanetta Johnson and Judy Barnett all of Morehead, one brother, Linden Jones of Clearfield, one sister, Roberta Kelsey of Morehead, five grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Barrett Johnson, Crystal Barnett and Shawna Barnett and five great-grandchildren, Caleb Brown, Emma Grace Brown, Sadie Johnson, Haley Hitch and Chandler Cantrell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21, 2009 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Billy T. Rice and Ricky Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Fey-Crockett Cemetery. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Barrett Johnson, Thomas Crockett, Dan Kiser, Steve Kelsey, Denver Ison and Mark Johnson.
