Mr. Gerald H. Stephens, Age 76, of Fawns Lane, Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at his residence.
He was a native of Glasgow, Kentucky, a retired truck driver, a member of the Teamsters Union, a member of the Masonic Lodge, a former member of the Montgomery County Senior Citizens and a member of the Spring Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leda Clay Wingate Stephens.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Stephens and his wife, Patsy of Morehead, one daughter, Shelia F. Bugg and her husband, Jerry of Harrodsburg, his fiancAC.e, Charlene Patton of Mt. Sterling, one brother, Raymond Stephens of Jeffersonville, one sister, Betty Sorrell of Mt. Sterling, three grandchildren, Jerry Gayler Stephens and his wife, Julie of Morehead, Earl Gerome Stephens of Louisville and Bobbie Sue Campbell and her husband, Rob of London and two great-grandchildren, Macey Nichole Campbell and Layden Thomas Stephens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Sterling with Rev. John Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in the Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday and 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7:00 P.M Friday.
