Mrs. Georgia Conn Saunders, 90, of Morehead, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Lexington.
She was born on December 17, 1928 in Smile, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Rufus and Lavada Boyd Conn.
Mrs. Saunders was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed sewing, vegetable gardening and flowers and when she was young, she enjoyed riding horses.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Saunders, one son, Larry Saunders, daughter-in-law, Connie Saunders, four brothers, Chester Conn, Audrey Conn, Harry Conn and Boyd Conn and two sisters, Edith Harry and Lucille Schumacher.
Survivors include two sons, Doug Saunders and Donald Saunders (Veronica) all of Morehead, two brothers, Billy Conn of Hillsboro and Ralph Conn of Canton, Ohio, six grandchildren, Naomi Saunders, Wendy Saunders, Denver Saunders, Shantel Saunders, Kenny Saunders and Donald Saunders, eleven great-grandchildren, Alanna Davis, Lillith Saunders, Grayden Saunders, Corbin Burke, Caiden Saunders, Willow Napier, Paxton Baker, Cain Saunders, Buddy Saunders, Raylynn Saunders and Lily Quenga, one great-great-grandson, Bentley Davis and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 24, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Monroe Craig officiating.
Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery in Fleming County.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
