George Burl Glover, 76, of Holly Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Friday morning, July 1, 2016 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
He was born on January 16, 1940 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Ersie Glover and Lula Reeder Glover Masters.
George had been a self-employed logger, farmer and gravedigger. He was a member of the Holly Fork Free Will Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Rev. Coy Masters and one sister, Betty Glover.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Parker Glover, whom he married on July 7, 1960, two sons, Eugene (Renee) Glover of Morehead and Ricky (Phyllis) Glover of Rock Hill, South Carolina, one daughter, Sarah Jo (Scott) Tudor of Livingston, Kentucky, two brothers, Harold Glover of Morehead and Guy Glover of Mansfield, Ohio, two sisters, Myrle Hamm and Minnie Harris both of Morehead, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 3, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Jim Porter, Rev. Bobby Day and Rev. Jack Evans officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hogge Cemetery at Cranston.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Serving as pall bearers will be Jeremy Glover, Joseph Simms, Josh Tudor, Cliff Logan, Richard Sloane, Donald Butler and Heath Loper.
