Gary Thomas Sr.
August 8, 1953 — June 25, 2015
Mr. Gary Wayne Thomas Sr., 61, of Morehead, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center following a two year battle with cancer.
He was born on August 8, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of James and Dorothy Lowe Thomas.
Gary was a 35-year employee of Sealmaster in Morehead. He loved his family and he loved to farm and care for his cattle.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Connie Stamper Thomas, his parents, James and Dorothy Lowe Thomas of Morehead, son, Gary Wayne (Abby) Thomas Jr. of Mt. Sterling, daughter, Amy Thomas Zimmerman of Morehead, two brothers, Steven Thomas of Louisville and Robert (Susie) Thomas of Trenton, Ohio, one sister, Karen Thomas of Morehead, three grandchildren, who loved him dearly, Tabor Dwayne Wright, Charley Anne Thomas and Taylor Ray Zimmerman and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 28, 2015 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Thomas-Hamilton Cemetery.
Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Porter, Ken Blevins, Ronnie Purnell, Glendon Lowe, Tim McKinney and Elmo Stegall.
