Gary Johnson

Gary Johnson, 65, of Elliottville, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on December 16, 1949 in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Jess R. and Jettie Marie Johnson.
Gary was a retired truck driver having worked for East Kentucky Paving and Olive Hill Trucking. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during Vietnam and he enjoyed U.K. basketball and watching westerns.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Larry Johnson and brother, Keith Johnson.
Survivors include five brothers, Jess (Jeanetta) Johnson, Jr., Wayne Johnson, Justin Johnson and Jerome Johnson all of Morehead and Mark (Kathy) Johnson of Olive Hill, three sisters, Debbie Johnson and Connie (Barry) Rayburn of Olive Hill and Sherri (Larry) Legare of Glasgow, Montana, aunt, Wilma Johnson of Morehead, special friend, Bob Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Johnson Family Cemetery in Elliott County with Rev. David Starcher officiating.
Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
