Pastor Forrest Wayne White, 92, of Clearfield passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at his home.

He was born on March 13, 1916 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late James Monroe White and Bertha Collins White.

Mr. White was a retired press operator for Lee Clay Products after working for 36 years and 6 months and he was also a former Kentucky State Highway Department and Rowan County Road Department Employee. He was a Minister and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith in Clearfield, where he served as Pastor for 40 years. Mr. White was a United States Navy Veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed trading and collecting guns and knives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Orville White, Allie White, James White and Denver White and one sister, Roxie Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Eva Mae Buckner White, whom he married on January 30, 1938, of Clearfield, two sons, Larrie M. White and his fiancAC., Kay Jones and Michael Wayne White and his wife, Mary Ann all of Clearfield, three daughters, Betty White of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Charlotte White Thomas and her husband, former Rowan County Judge Executive, Clyde Thomas of Morehead and Susan D. Haws of Seymour, Indiana, one brother, Edsel White of Fleming County, three sisters, Arlene Webb of Middletown, Ohio, Leona Matney of Mansfield, Ohio and Rosemary Wright of Morehead, seventeen grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21, 2009 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Brother  Paris Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Adam Thomas, Gary McDaniel, John Green, Christopher Thomas, Zachary Shelton and Ethan McDaniel and honorary pallbearers will be Michael White, Matthew Thomas and Conner Thomas.

Contributions are suggested to the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith in Clearfield.
