Mrs. Eva Mae Buckner White, 93, of Clearfield, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, with her family by her side.
She was born on January 13, 1923 in Redwine, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Lola Ison Buckner.
Mrs. White served more than 65 years in the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith and was nicknamed “Mother of the Church”.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working in her flowers, cooking and serving her Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Forest Wayne White, who passed away on February 19, 2009, two great-grandsons, five brothers, Ronnie C. Buckner, Burness D. Buckner, Clyde M. Buckner, Tom Buckner and Oveland Ben “Jack” Buckner and two sisters, Oleta Buckner Carroll and Nettie Jean Buckner.
Survivors include her children, Charlotte White Thomas and her husband, Clyde of Morehead, Larrie Monroe White of Florida, Michael Wayne White and his wife, Mary Ann of Clearfield and Susan D. Haws of Indiana, one brother, Forrest Ray Buckner of Morehead, two sisters, Geneva Brown of Clearfield and Linda Ginter of Morehead, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friend, Kay Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, April 17, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Jack Vernatter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larrie White, Michael White, Zachary Shelton, George Green, Gary McDaniel, Ethan McDaniel and Edsel (Bimbo) White.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
