Esther Riddle

Mrs. Esther Goodman Riddle, 92 of Clearfield, passed away Wednesday morning, November 12, 2014 in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She was born on October 1, 1922 in Blairs Mill, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Russell and Liddie Alice Cox Goodman.

Mrs. Riddle was a homemaker and loved to quilt. She attended Slab Camp Christian Church and also the Belle Center Church of Christ in Ohio.

On May 13, 1939, Esther married Earnest Earl Riddle, who passed away on March 26, 1999.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Ray Riddle and Terry Michael Riddle, three daughters, Betty Jean Nearhouse, Deloris May Riddle and Kathy Ann Riddle, six brothers, Richard Goodman, Homer Goodman, Billy Ray Goodman, Hendrix Goodman, Ronald Goodman and Robert "Bob" Goodman, one sister, Frances Dillon and one son-in-law, Vernon Wagoner.

Survivors include her nine children, Howard Buford Riddle of Cullman, Alabama, Joyce Carol Wagoner of Huntsville, Ohio, Earnest Earl (Rosalee) Riddle, Jr. of Onaway, Michigan, Sue (Paul) McKenna of Avondale, Arizona, Jeanetta Justice of Huntsville, Ohio, Danny (Robbie) Riddle of Cullman, Alabama, Ricky (Debbie) Riddle of Warsaw, Indiana, Wanda Thompson of South Whitney, Indiana and Tony Patrick Riddle of Sidney, Ohio, son-in-law, Jon Nearhouse of Wabash, Indiana, one brother, Delmar Goodman of Morehead, twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Bro. Herbert D. Lewis, Rev. Carlos Bowman and Rev. Charles Moore officiating.

Burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
