Ervin Plank

April 30, 1943 — February 7, 2016

Ervin Glenmore Plank, 72, of Roanoke, Virginia formerly of Morehead, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born on April 30, 1943 in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late Sam and Edna Conley Plank.

Ervin was a United States Navy Veteran and he retired from the VA Hospital in Salem, Virginia.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Fowler and four brothers, Wilford Ray Plank, Wilburn Plank, Charles Plank and Jackie Plank.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda (Billy) James of Morehead and Amy (Scott) Leonard of Roanoke, Virginia, grandson, Sean (Amy) Plank of Florence, granddaughter, Hannah Grace Leonard of Roanoke, Virginia, two sisters, Christine (Bob) Wagoner of Morehead and Sylvia (Bill) Boone of Roanoke, Virginia, seven brothers, Addie (Heather) Plank, Jerry (Valerie) Plank, Roger (Sylvia) Plank, Curt (Ollie) Plank, Vincin (Madge) Plank, Lonnie (Geraldine) Plank and Willis Plank all of Morehead and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Ray Glover officiating.

Burial with full military rites by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126 will follow in the Plank Family Cemetery at Cranston.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Plank, Casey Plank, Gerald Plank, Lee Plank, Dallas Wagoner and Brian Plank.

Ervin will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
