Ella Burton
June 19, 1950 — January 6, 2012
Mrs. Ella Adkins Burton, Age 61 of Open Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Friday evening, January 6, 2012 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Burton was born June 19, 1950 in Elliott County, Kentucky to the late Roe and Gladys Lewis Adkins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters, Ray Adkins, William Adkins, Linville Adkins, Glenn Adkins, Maggie Howard, Jean Moore and Rosemary Muse.
She was a former employee of the Life Care Center in Morehead, a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God and enjoyed working in her flowers and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Burton. Three sons, Mitchell (Donell) Burton, Robert (Missy) Burton and Michael Ray (Jill) Burton all of Morehead. One daughter, Kimberly Ann (Homer) Lewis of Isonville, Kentucky. One brother, Charles Adkins of Elliott County. Eleven Grandchildren and One Great-Grandson. Also, many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Glover officiating.
Visitation at the funeral home is after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
