Eleanor “Candy Doll” Howard Weddington, 87, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Bethel, Ohio.
She was born on February 2, 1936 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Berlin and Ina Whitt Howard.
Mrs. Weddington was a homemaker and a member of the First General Baptist Church.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and making candy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Merville Howard, Rocky Howard and Leslie Howard.
Survivors include her husband, Wendell Weddington, four daughters, Sharon Fitzpatrick of Morehead, Kentucky, Robin Dice of Bethel, Ohio, Vonda Varney (Rob) of Bethel, Ohio and Dolly Fannin (Richard) of Rowan County, Kentucky, two brothers, Sam Howard of Ohio and Allard Howard (Sheila) of Florida, seven grandchildren, Michael (Chantel), Adam (Brittany), Candace, Dale, Alex, Evan and Logan and seven great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Isaiah, Mikayla, Gracie, Abigail, Heidi and Margot.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 14, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Willie Sturgill officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Fitzpatrick, Michael Varney, Evan Fannin, Logan Fannin, Dale Weddington and Alex Dice.
