Mrs. Edna Kidd Catron, Age 84 of Morehead, left her earthly home for heaven on Friday, October 31, 2014 at her daughter's home in Morehead, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Catron was born September 16, 1930 in Clearfield, Kentucky to the late John Will and Dora Kidd.
Mrs. Catron was a member of the Dry Creek Church of God and enjoyed gardening, canning, UK basketball, Rowan County sports and spending time with her family.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert Kidd who was killed in WW II, Leslie Kidd who died in an auto accident and Virgil Kidd who died in infancy. Four sisters, Myrtle Kidd, Stella Workman, Bertha Adkins and Erna Kidd. She also lost one nephew and three nieces of whom she was especially fond: Vernon Workman, Cathy Catron, Nancy Bryant and Joyce Combs.
Survivors include her husband, Talmadge Catron, one daughter, Brenda Burton of Morehead, one grandson, Byron Burton of Morehead. One sister, Edith Catron of Mansfield, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Madden and Bro. Steve Madden officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
Serving as Pall Bearers will be Byron Burton, Carl "Randall" Catron, Charles "Jack" Catron, Chester Catron, Dennis Catron and Charles Hampton. Honorary Bearers will be Richard Catron, Elbert Curtis, Brandon Hatton, Nelson Hatton and Elbert Catron.
