Mrs. Dorothy Verna Highley Mynhier, 73, of Midland, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

She was born on December 11, 1935 in Menifee County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Fred and Nancy Farley Highley.

Mrs. Mynhier was a youth worker at the Morehead Treatment Center having worked there for 26 years. She was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Highley, Elmo Highley and Raleigh Highley.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Mynhier, two sons, Dewayne Mynhier and his wife, Elsa of Morehead and Darwin Mynhier of Salt Lick, one daughter, Rhonda Lowe and her husband, Rod of Morehead, two brothers, William Edward Highley of Glassboro, New Jersey and Joe Brackins of New Market, Tennessee, one sister, Mary Elizabeth Burton of Flint, Michigan, brother-in-law, Jim Mynhier of Midland, ten grandchildren, Kris Mynhier, Jarrod Mynhier, Amber Mynhier Ison, Seth Mynhier, John-Logan Mynhier, Brandis Lowe Carlson, Ashleigh Lowe Gasparac, Kristen Lowe Day, Kaelyn Mynhier and Jesse Mynhier, seven great-grandchildren, Isaac Moore, Trinity Moore, Tristan Mynhier, Amberleigh Mynhier, Camryn Carlson, Gavyn Gasparac and Garryt Gasparac, special friend, Gary Fanning and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Midland First Church of God with Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery at Midland. Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 3:00 P.M. Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Kris Mynhier, Jarrod Mynhier, John-Logan Mynhier, Seth Mynhier, Parker Gasparac, Brent Day, Rod Lowe and Chris Lowe.
