David Allen Walker, 60, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on August 31, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Ruth Kidd Walker and the late Robert Kenneth Walker.
Mr. Walker had been an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad and had worked for the United States Post Office. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam Era.
He was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God and he enjoyed fishing, watching sports and was an Atlanta Braves fan.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kerri Kurz Walker and a brother-in-law, Leon Jaskot, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Kidd Walker of Morehead, two sons, David Allen (Kelley) Ritchley of Houston, Texas and Jonathan (Kelsey) Ritchley Walker of San Antonio, Texas, two daughters, Terry Walker and Mantasha Rose Walker both of El Paso, Texas, two brothers, Lawrence (Deborah) Walker and John Walker both of Morehead, one sister, Nancy Jaskot of Morehead, one grandchild, Addison Kendall Ritchley and special friend, Kim Plank of Clearfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 16, 2015 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Ison officiating.
Burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Peavler, Paul Kidd, Billy May, Wesley Walker, Morris Williams and Chris Kidd.
