David Elbert Russell, 46, of Morehead, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 16, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of Pam Day Poston and Byrl Howard Russell.
David was a self-employed landscaper. He attended House of Prayer and enjoyed landscaping and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Byford Day, uncle, William “Fletcher” Day and step-father, William Poston.
Survivors include his mother, Pam Poston of Morehead, his father, Byrl Howard (Debbie) Russell of Haldeman, five children, Joshua, Jacob, Jade, Jasmine and Jonah, two step-sons, Chris Copher and Caleb Copher, one brother, Byrl (Sue) Russell of Morehead, two-step brothers, Eddie Poston of Morehead and Billy (Sharon) Poston of Ohio, one sister, Leanna Russell of Morehead, grandmother, Mary Day of Morehead, nephews, Derek Russell and John Russell, niece, Callie Brooke Russell, step-nephew, Jessie Poston and step-niece, Sarah Poston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Friday, July 24, 2015 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Brother Derek Russell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bays Cemetery in Morgan County.
Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Byrl Russell, Derek Russell, Billy Poston, Eddie Poston, Tommy McClurg and Ben Garner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Trent, Jacob Russell and Ben Marker.
