David P. Robinson, 64 of Elliottville, passed away Friday evening October 12, 2018 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on April 24, 1954 a son of the late George Logan Robinson and Veda Belknap Robinson.
David was a retired General Services Employee of Morehead State University. He was a graduate of the Braxton County High School in Sutton, West, Virginia and was a member of the Elliottville Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Kentucky Long Rifles of Morehead and a Kentucky Colonel.
David enjoyed car and truck shows, leatherwork, hunting and collecting guns and knives. He also volunteered with the 4-H shooting sports program and matches.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings; George Robinson, Jr., James Isaac Gillespie and Dottie Fraker.
Survivors include his wife Ruth Crisp Robinson, two brothers, Larry Robinson and wife Carol of Morehead and Cecil Robinson and wife Patricia of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one sister Anna Mincy and husband Emmerson of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also, one brother-in-law, Bill Fraker of Caseyville, Illinois and his mother-in-law, Lillian Crisp of Elliottville, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Willie Sturgill and Rev. Larry Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Robinson Family Cemetery in Carter County.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 6:00 P.M. Monday.
Pall bearers will be Larry Robinson, Cecil Robinson, Emmerson Mincy, Bill Fraker, Ray Crisp, Ronnie Crisp, Adam Robinson, Jackie Thomas and Barry Cox. Honorary pall bearers will be members of the Kentucky Long Rifles Club of Morehead and Joe Stinson, Billy Ray Goodan, Delmas Wagoner and Jeff Furnish.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.
