David Kidd

David Lee Kidd, 67, of Morehead Kentucky departed this life on Monday June 20, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1954, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Adrian and Evelyn Eileen Johnson Kidd.

David was a retired contractor and enjoyed playing softball, and was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals and the Louisville Cardinals.

He was a member of the Charity Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Tona Donahue Kidd whom he married on January 23, 1976. Two sons, Anthony Kidd and his wife Candace of Clearfield, Kentucky and Kevin Kidd of Morehead, Kentucky. A daughter/niece, Emily Shyanne Donahue of Farmers, Kentucky. Three brothers, Stephen Jay Kidd and his wife Debbie, Robert A. Kidd and his wife Lisa and Randy Dean Kidd and his wife Jody, two sisters Diana Kay Davis and her husband Rick and Cindy McKenzie all of Morehead.

Four Grandchildren, Ireland Kidd, Emerald Kidd, Kanon Kidd and Kaleigh Kidd. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., Brother Ben Lewis and Pastor Matt Richardson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 6:00 pm Thursday.

Serving as pall bearers will be Anthony Kidd, Kevin Kidd, Philip Cooper, Mike Howard, Herbie Jones, Bo Yeast and Randy Weaver.
