David C. Davis, 60, of Heritage Place, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at his home after an illness of several weeks.
He was born on January 30, 1950 in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late Harvey Davis and Hazel Parson Smith.
David was a former press operator at a cotton mill. He was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed playing horseshoes and bingo, walking and spending time with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his close friend and companion, Annabelle Ralston, who passed away on March 17, 1996 and two brothers.
Survivors include one brother, Doug Davis of Lewis County, three sisters, Pauline Knell, Sarah Jane Pierce and Debbie Jordan all of Lewis County, special friends and caregivers, Rick, Nellie, Tyler and Sasha Spence and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 2, 2010 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Richmond and Rev. Hansel Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Family Cemetery in Lewis County. Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Rick Spence, Tyler Spence, Tony Knell, Anthony Knell, David Cooley, Eddie Butler and Derek Knell.
