Connie Saunders

Mrs. Connie Leah Saunders, Age 54 of Kentucky 801 North, Morehead, passed away suddenly Saturday morning March 1, 2014 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack.
She was born in Morehead, Kentucky on July 6, 1959 to the late Ralph and Vonetta Johnson McClurg.
Connie was a caregiver and nurse having worked at St. Claire Regional Medical Center and Guardian Community Living. She enjoyed rescuing dogs, cross stitch, needlepoint and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Saunders of Morehead. One son Denver Saunders and his fiancAC.e Susan Strange of Versailles, Kentucky. One daughter, Shantel Burke and her fiancAC. Stephen Napier of Morehead, Kentucky. Two sisters, Cathy Ashley and Tammy Trent both of Morehead, Kentucky.
Six Grandchildren; Corbin Burke, Caden Saunders, Willow Napier, Grayden Strange Lillith Strange and Alanna Alley.
Also, her Mother-in-law, Mrs. Georgia Saunders of Morehead.
Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Redmon officiating.
Visitation at the funeral home is after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
