Mr. Claude Turner, Jr., 85, of Elliottville, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, June 10, 2013 at his home.

He was born on June 11, 1927 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Claude B. and Madge Goodan Turner.

Claude retired in 1987 from Chrysler Corporation with 37 years of service in management and production control. During and after a three-year assignment with AutoMex in Mexico City, he made shorter business trips to South America and one trip to Bejing.

Claude was a jack of all tradesa�"able to repair almost any type of machinery or equipment; he enjoyed woodworking, stain glass projects, sports on TV and reading.

He was a member of the Elliottville Baptist Church.

He was Past Master of Northwood-Ancient Craft #551 F & AM Masonic Lodge of Madison Heights, Michigan, with dual membership in Morehead #654 F & AM Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his siblings, Irene Linville, Kathleen Hargis, Dorothy Turner, Clayton Turner, Clyde Turner (infant), Billy Turner and Agness Turner (infant).

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Juanita Marlene Lewis Turner of Elliottville, one son, Gregory Alan Turner and his wife, Monica and three grandchildren, Brandon Alan Turner, Nicole Elizabeth Turner and Natalie Joan Marie Turner, all of Waxhall, North Carolina (Charlotte).

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 14, 2013 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Turner and Pastor Willie Sturgill officiating.

Burial will follow in the Williams-Turner Cemetery at Elliottville.

Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday.

Masonic services by Morehead Masonic Lodge No. 654 will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Steven Lewis, Dan Turner, Don Lewis, Matthew Lewis, C. J. Baker, Junior Stegall and David Hargis.

Contributions are suggested to the Elliottville Baptist Church.
