Charles Ellington

Mr. Charles L. Ellington, 80, of Nicholasville, Kentucky formerly of Rowan County, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in the Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
He was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on November 29, 1936, a son of the late Farrel H. and Thelma Ellis Ellington.
Mr. Ellington was a retired electrician having worked for Rockwell International and he was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War Period.
He was a life member of the VFW and DAV and a member of the American Legion and AMVETS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Ellington and Ronald Ellington.
Survivors include his wife, Rozella Yager Ellington, one step-son, Mike Crawford of Lexington, nephews, Charles F. Ellington of Oklahoma, Scott Ellington of Indiana and Rick Ellington of Missouri, niece, Brenda Adams of Oklahoma and several other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the New Alfrey Cemetery with Scott Ellington officiating.
Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
There is no visitation.
