Mr. Chalmer Baldridge, 82, a resident of Shiloh, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his new home in Shelby, Ohio.
He was born on February 16, 1932 in Clearfield, Kentucky, a son of the late Estill and Betty Bowman Baldridge.
Mr. Baldridge had been a resident of Shiloh for 48 years.
Chalmer was employed in electrical maintenance with AK Steel, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the Church of God, an active member of the Circle S Horse Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Most of all, Chalmer enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Gibson Baldridge, his children, James (Maribeth) Baldridge of Crestline, Ohio, Sherri Baldridge of Plymouth, Ohio, Ken (Elise) Baldridge of Mansfield, Ohio and Beth (Mike) Dixon of Shelby, Ohio, five grandchildren, Hope (Jimmy), Amy, Jacob (Kendra), Christy (Travis) and Ashley, five great-grandchildren, Emilie, Makayla, Blake, Brock and Makenzie, one brother, Clifton (Donna) Baldridge of Wallingford and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Anndrea Beck, one brother, Eugene Baldridge and one sister, Pauline Schiffer.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby, Ohio with Reverend S.T. Adkins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio.
Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Barkdull Funeral Home.
