Cecil Kern Younce, 68, of Morehead, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home.
He was born on December 16, 1945 in Pikeville, Kentucky, a son of the late Pharo King Younce and Spicy Tackett Younce.
Mr. Younce was a retired heavy equipment operator and a United States Army Veteran having served during Vietnam.
He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church, the V. F. W. and the American Legion and he enjoyed woodworking, golfing, bowling, gardening, fishing, motorcycles and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Younce and Tivis Younce and one sister, Darlene Younce.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Inez Roberts Younce, three daughters, Samantha (Chad) Justice and Cecilia (Darren) Highley all of Morehead and Stacie (Roger) Summers of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, four brothers, Paul Stanley Younce of Flemingsburg, Perry King Younce, MacArthur Younce and Danny Joe Younce all of Pike County, three sisters, Willa Dean Jones, Mary Smith and Sonja Bolden all of Pike County, five grandchildren, Candace Brooke Justice, Jordan Justice, Daulton Highley, Farrah Highley and Cameron Highley and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 18, 2014 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.
Full military honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Old Regular Baptist Church services will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday.
