Calvin Mynhier, Sr.

Calvin Louis Mynhier, Sr. 65 of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, December 12, 2021 at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. He was born June 24, 1956 in Fayette County, Kentucky to the late Floyd Haskel Mynhier and Annie Mae McIntosh Mynhier who were from Bath County, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Lynn Barnette, one brother, Thomas Mynhier and two sisters, Printha May Stapleton and Roberta Hardin.

Calvin was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ our Lord. He enjoyed attending church and visited many churches in the area. Reading his Bible, holding revivals and preaching the word brought him great joy. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, walking and was a practitioner of Karate. He was also a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include three sons, Calvin Louis Mynhier, Jr., Daniel Alexander Mynhier and John Milton Mynhier and Three daughters, Anna Faye Barnette, Martha Ann Mynhier and Mary Elizabeth Mynhier all of Morehead and one sister, Julie Sexton.  Also, eleven grandchildren whom he loved and adored.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, December 16, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ginter Cemetery in Menifee County. Military honors by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No.126 will be conducted at the funeral home prior to procession to the cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 11:00 am Thursday.
