Betty Lou Click Stewart, 79, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at The Willows of Hamburg in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born on March 13, 1944 in Salt Lick, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Paul Tracy Click and Myrtle Hayden Click.
Mrs. Stewart was a dedicated educator having taught at Morehead Grade School and in the Gifted and Talented Program and she was also the Title I Director for the Rowan County School System.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed reading and working puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Art” Stewart, Jr. and her sister, Phyllis “Snooks” Kanyuh.
Survivors include one son, Tom Stewart (Jenny) of Clearfield, Kentucky, one daughter, Tricia McDonough (Mike) of Evansville, Indiana, two grandchildren, Alex Stewart and Andrea Stewart and two nieces, Tonya Kanyuh and Tammy Ayotte (Jimmy).
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with remembrances by family and friends.
Burial will follow in the Siloam Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
