Arvis Layton Linville, 86, of Dayton, Ohio formerly of Elliott County, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at his home.
He was born on September 21, 1935 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a son of the late Tony and Melda Sue Carter Linville.
Mr. Linville was a retired parts clerk for the National Cash Register Company and he was a United States Navy Veteran having served during Korea.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was an avid bear, deer and turkey hunter, who enjoyed his hunting trips in Colorado and Canada.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Atlee Linville and Cody Linville.
Survivors include his loving wife, Faye Marie Mayse Linville, whom he married on May 15, 1955, one son, Greggory Linville (Tammy Poole) of McArthur, Ohio, two daughters, Kathy Borek (Jeff Hoover) of Dayton, Ohio and Karen Sue Seiple (Scott) of Kokomo, Indiana, three grandchildren, Melissa Rizer, Chad Borek and Scott Seiple, Jr., seven great-grandchildren and nephew, Roger Dale Linville of Sandy Hook, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 25, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Keith Gebhart officiating.
Burial with full military honors by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post 126 will be in the Mays Cemetery in Elliott County.
Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hoover, Scott Seiple, Scott Seiple, Jr., Ronnie Johnson, Jacob Johnson and Stanley Johnson.
