Archie Clay Walton, Sr., 68, of Hope, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on June 30, 1950 in Montgomery County, Kentucky, a son of the late Ray Walton and Bertha Collinsworth Bailey.
Mr. Walton was a retired heavy equipment mechanic.
He enjoyed fishing, watching football, whittling and making canes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Archie Clay Walton, Jr. and an infant son and one sister, Mildred Staton.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Newton of East Bernstadt, Kentucky and Billy Walton of Hope, two daughters, Amber Walton of Mt. Sterling and Jennifer Walton of Sharpsburg, two brothers, Denzil Walton of West Liberty and Bobby Walton of Franklin, Ohio, three sisters, Joyce Whitt of West Liberty, Roberta Madan of Whitehouse, Kentucky and Sylvia McKenzie of Miamisburg, Ohio, two grandchildren, Nathan Newton and Shane Newton, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.
Burial will follow in the Ginter Cemetery in Menifee County.
Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Walton, Rick Newton, Nathan Newton, Shane Newton, Edward Staton and Audrey Staton, Jr.
