Mrs. Alice Ina Royse Oliver, 74, of Morehead, Kentucky formerly of Indiana passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
She was born on December 2, 1938, in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Norman and Mae Hamilton Royse.
Mrs. Oliver was a former clerk for Ben Franklin and for John's Pharmacy in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Oval Royse, Ernest Royse and Winford Royse and one sister, Evelyn Royse Amburgey.
Survivors include her husband, Isaac Oliver, whom she married on October 20, 1957, three daughters, Ella Mae Oliver (Donald) Scaggs of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Lisa Lynn Oliver (Marcus) Raines of Middletown, Indiana and Karen Lea Oliver of Avon, Indiana, one sister, Stella Ruth Waddell of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, six grandchildren, Donnie Scaggs, Dustin Scaggs, Michael Obermeyer, Alicia Obermeyer, Declan Oliver-Raikes and Gavin Oliver-Raikes, two great-grandchildren, Jacob Scaggs and Matthew Scaggs and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home in Morehead, Kentucky with Jerry Brown officiating.
Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schereville, Indiana.
Additional visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Burdan Funeral Home in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Scaggs, Dustin Scaggs, Michael Obermeyer, Don Scaggs and Rick Oliver.
