Mrs. Ada Crose Moore, 90, of Olive Hill formerly of Morehead, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
She was born on November 20, 1922, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Sammy and Barbara Alice Sparks Crose.
Mrs. Moore was a retired cook having worked at Morehead State University, the Eagle's Nest and at the Morehead Drive-In.
She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed canning, dancing, listening to music and spending time with her family and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coba Moore who passed away on December 31, 1985, one daughter, Phyllis Fishack, two brothers, Melvin Crose and Marvin Crose and five sisters, Nina Adkins, Gracie Fultz, Vernia Crawford, Lilly Moore and Dorothy Sexton.
Survivors include five sons, Murlyn Moore of Morehead, Paul Moore of Bushnell, Florida, Glen (Donna) Moore of Farmers, Harold Moore of Morehead and Richard Moore of Salt Lick, four daughters, Beulah Moore and Janet Moore both of Morehead, Barbara (Bob) Taylor and Juanita (David) Sammons all of Olive Hill, one brother, Seabert Crose of Bloomington, Illinois, one sister, Alma Dillon of Frenchburg, twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 5:00 P.M Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Moore Cemetery on Christy Creek with Brother Monroe Craig officiating.
There is no visitation.
Pallbearers will be family.
